2009 Journey Forward Results
Here are the results of our spiritual journey forward in Nov-Dec 2009.
- We have fed, helped with rent, and secured transportation for 4 of our own families who have struggled greatly in this economy.
- We have housed over 30 aids orphans and their caretakers from the African Children's Choir over 3 days, turned our facility into a temporary school for them, and raised over $4000 for their continued education once their tour is done.
- We helped one of our families with a handicapped son put together a fundraiser that brought in $30,000 to battle the disease he suffers with.
- Our Mom's Alone Car Clinic and Prison Ministry continued serving women with 2 very different sets of needs.
- We saw our high-schoolers and young adults serve and play basketball with the homeless associated with the LA Mission on December 5th.
- We saw Meredith Roberts educate us on Human Trafficking through film and music and we had the honor of praying for her upcoming 4-month mission trip as well as help her to raise $3700 to fund her mission to Thailand, India, and our school in the Mathare slum in Kenya.
- We had a Women's Christmas luncheon where half the room was filled with people not from CCC, as well as buy jewelry that helps free enslaved people.
- We had a Men's K1 go-kart racing event where almost half of those who attended were teens.
- Our families sent Christmas Gift boxes to 94 needy children world wide through Operation Christmas Child. They included clothes, toys Bibles and personal letters.
- Our Children's ministry raised enough money through their offerings is children's church to provide 800 "rice bowls" to hungry children both here and abroad.
- We saw a Yorba Linda family receive the keys to their new Habitat for Humanity home that 8 CCCers helped build with Nathan Stanton.

Operation Christmas Child Help pack shoe boxes for children around the world. Not just a present for Christmas is being provided but an opportunity for children to hear the Good News of the Savior. |
