Since childhood, it's been an exciting time of year.  the cool air, the first snowfall, the ice on the branches of every pine tree (now replaced with sunshine, 80 degrees, and palm trees swaying in the wind), hot cocoa, anticipation, the surprise of an over the top gift from Santa under the tree...

It seems no matter how old I get, this time of year remains magical, but no longer because of the things I might receive as gifts.  The excitement of the season for me now is in the time spent with those I love, the opportunity to give gifts to my own children, and the chance to serve those less fortunate than myself.

This year, your family can also share in the spirit of Christmas together, both on your own, and in partnership with INTERSECT Student Ministries. 

We will be having a brief Parents Meeting NEXT TUESDAY, December 6, directly after youth group.  I would love to get in the same room with all of you, and be able to encourage one another as we partner in the spiritual lives of your teens. 

You are all invited to participate in "The Giving Spirit" service project in LA on December 17.  The Student Ministry will be sponsoring the trip, but this is a great chance to instill in your students and children the importance of service, and lead your family by example.  The Cost is $5, and all registration information can be obtained from me by emailing , calling 714-872-0989, or just talking to me and getting the paperwork at church. 

Beyond this service project, we have a slightly different schedule in december for youth group.

Tuesday, December 6-  Normal Youth group 7-8:30 in the youth room

Tuesday, December 13- Normal Youth group 7-8:30 in the youth room

Saturday, December 17-  The Giving Spirit service project in LA

Tuesday, December 20-  No Youth group

Thursday, December 22- CCC Christmas Service at Yorba Linda Community Center

Tuesday December 27-  Christmas Party 6-9 pm at Cliff and Kristin Sliger's House
