Huddle Up

Imagine a world where the burden of parenting didn't feel comparable to being on a desert island, where other people in similar circumstances shared the weight of your world, and you were given the opportunity to do likewise. Imagine receiving mutual encouragement, challenge and tools to help you in your pursuit of raising Godly kids and teens into Godly adults.
Introducing "Parent's Huddle." In football, the huddle serves as an opportunity for the team to rest, reconnect, and ready themselves for the next play. It allows them to be on the same page as they head back out to face the opponent together. I know you're thinking it, but I'm in no way implying that your teen is your opponent! There are, however, many opponents in our world that make the spiritual formation of children and teens a real challenge, and its easy to feel alone in facing those opponents.
The idea behind the Parent's Huddle is to gather together, discuss hot topics facing your teens, and be encouraged that you are not the only one facing any given problem. In fact, often times you will speak to another parent who has faced similar issues with success, and you can gain from their experience along with offering up your own experience to encourage others.
The Parent's Huddle will be replacing our current schedule (or lack of schedule) of parent meetings. They will take place on the LAST Tuesday of EVERY OTHER month, directly following youth group (check schedule below). We will give information about what's up and coming at INTERSECT, but it will no longer be the focus of these gatherings.
I am excited to share these times with you, and see how God might use them to encourage us, grow us, and form us into even more effective agents of spiritual growth in the lives of CCC's young people. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at
Blessings,
